The BTMA exists for the benefit of its Membership

If you are a British textile machinery manufacturer, or if you have a product base with any applications in the textile industry, the BTMA can help you. Restructured and redefined, the BTMA is active and effective in helping Members achieve their own objectives through:

  • Liaising and developing regular contacts within prospective and existing markets with overseas textile producers associations, Chambers of Commerce, local Government offices and overseas posts.

  • Sponsorship and support for overseas exhibitions, group seminars and trade missions.

  • Representing the industry on British Standards and other technical committees.

  • An expanding database of overseas agency networks is established to assist Members’ growth into new and developing markets in the global textile industry.

  • Seminars and training events including overseas sales and marketing, contract terms, export credit insurance and intellectual property rights; helping Members export more effectively and profitably.

  • Organisation of UK Trade and Investment-supported Exhibitions, Group Seminars and Trade Missions to strategic business areas. Thus ensuring adequate funding is made available for Members.

  • Providing export intelligence. Investigation into regional development grants, which may be available to qualifying Members, these can include R&D, machinery upgrade or replacement or building maintenance.

  • Maintain an active interest on BSI Technical Committees, involved with textile machinery-related topics.

  • Feedback. The BTMA exists for the benefit of its Membership, it maintains regular contact and gains feedback as to what they want from the Association.

Make the BTMA part of your network of expertise.
