AccuTrack Automation

Machine monitoring and data collection

AccuTrack Automation Ltd. specialises in machine monitoring and production data collection system with primary emphasis on textile machines. We provide systems for circular knitting machines, weaving machines, flat bed machines, socks and hosiery machines. The system can be easily adapted to other types of machines as well as non-textile machines.

The aim of AccuTrack Automation was to design and provide high functionality monitoring systems to meet the demands of the modern customer in a highly affordable, reliable and easy to install package. All these challenges were successfully met through careful design, attention to detail, robust software and hardware engineering and thorough testing.

Networked

With the AccuTrack system, all machines in the factory are networked using a node. The method of communication is the well-proven Ethernet standard and we offer both wired and wireless options. Once our communication infrastructure is in place, the user has a centralised real time view of status of all machines in the factory using a set of specially designed and ergonomic screens. The factory floor plan screen is colour-coded to provide an overall indication of the status of machines. More detailed information on a machine can be viewed by selecting any machine on the floor plan. This enables the user to react quickly to problems and make decisions based on accurate information. This leads to improvements in efficiency and productivity, eliminating post-event actions which are often too late.

The system also offers a facility to schedule jobs into the system. As production data is collected from the machine, the system provides a prediction of job completion time, based on real time information such as machine efficiency and running speed. A full visual planning module provide an extremely effective view of job status, schedules and completed jobs.

Operator management

The system also offers operator management via iButton. Each operator is provided an iButton which has a unique number. The operators must touch the iButton on the node whenever they start and finish the shift. AccuTrack records the operators’ names and their performance at the end of the shift. All data is automatically reported as an End Of Shift report.

For operations where the head office and planning is remote from the factory in a different city or country, we have introduced ‘AccuTrack Anywhere’ for viewing the factory data over the internet. This unique software effectively provides the integration necessary between departments located at different sites to provide improved management of their processes.

OEM supplier

AccuTrack can also supply the technology to OEM companies, to enable them to provide integrated monitoring solutions to their customers, thereby increasing the value of their product and gaining a competitive advantage. We are proud to provide such services to Shima Seiki of Japan, which chose the AccuTrack software to complement its flat bed knitting machines and is now marketed throughout the world.

The AccuTrack monitoring system is also complemented by other solutions for the textile industry, including a system for product identification with bar coding using permanent non-destructible labels and inventory management with tracking through different processes.

In summary, AccuTrack Automation is a global solution provider with expertise in electronic, software and business processes in manufacturing industry. We can work on a project basis to develop systems to meet the specific requirements of the customer, to include requirement gathering, design, implementation, deployment, training and support.
