Manufacturer of flame retardants, dyes and speciality chemicals for textiles. More than 50%of sales are to Western Europe, the Middle East and the Asia Pacific region, with particularly strong sales growth in China for dyes and flame retardants during the past two years. Flame retardants, under the Cetaflam brand, are applied by padding, back-coating and dyebath to all fibre types and blends. The Cetaflam DB9/DB168 products are used to give durable flame retardant properties in polyester fabrics for aircraft, automotive and hotel applications.

Many Cetaflam products are designed to have low environmental impact and can produce fabrics complying with the Oeko-Tex 100 standard. Among novel application systems developed by the company is a single-pass method using Cetaflam products combined with rot-proof, water-repellent and antimicrobial chemicals from its textile speciality range.

The firm’s Premier dye ranges include the Avocet M/ALM systemfor wool, polyamide or silk. The Cetalan AV system for wool and wool/polyamide carpet blends, and Avopol XS dyes for polyester/wool.
