An example is the SiroLock – a doffer and worker wire for nonwoven and long staple roller cards which was developed in cooperation with The Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO).

The SiroLock is provided with a unique step that brings fibre control to a whole new level, improving both web quality and the productivity of the cards.

It takes up to 50% more fibres than any conventional card wire and also causes less recycling on the cylinder. This means the card needs to be stopped less for cleaning. As a result, the uptime of the machines is significantly improved. In addition, it also creates higher carding spaces and allows wider settings between cylinders and workers/doffers, resulting in a higher web quality.
