Fibreguide

Jets for synthetic fibre production and processing

Fibreguide was established in the 1970s as a major designer and manufacturer of air interlacing and air twisting jets for synthetic fibres. We develop, design and manufacture advanced air jets for all processes where air jets can be used. In addition to our standard range of products we also produce a full programme of custom made jets, many incorporating our advanced technology and we also undertake specialist application developments and the development of new products to suit the latest machinery and fabric trends.

The interlace process has become even more demanding in today’s market due to the increased production speed during interlacing and in the downstream processes and yarn specifications. On top of this is the ever increasing demand to reduce air consumption and other associated costs.

We provide a complete turnkey solution to these issues by partnering with our clients to provide vital technical assistance and support to ensure the optimum choices are made. Our experience is based on a fundamental understanding of modern yarn processing technology and a deep understanding of the interlace process and air flow character as well as downstream process requirements.

Our expert team offers professional support at every stage including:

  • Process Optimisation and Jet Selection
  • Process Cost Analysis
  • Application Development
  • On-Site Support
  • Dedicated Development Support
  • Custom Design Service

One of Fibreguide’s unique technologies is the use of Tungsten Carbide, which offers extreme flexibility and finishing as well as very high purity alumina ceramics which offer substantial advantages to users such as:

  • Outstanding levels of efficiency and consistency due to high levels of machining accuracy and repeatability
  • Minimum yarn damage and jet contamination due to controlled chamber finish and material properties
  • Extreme durability and very long service life due to high quality materials used

In addition to this, high quality interlace is achieved as a result of:

  • Fully optimised jet geometry with various patented features for many applications
  • Use of the most advanced manufacturing technology available

All Fibreguide jets are produced with a common goal, customer satisfaction! This is derived by designing the air jet in such a way that the life time will be as long as possible, and in many cases will outlive it’s usefulness. The air consumption must be as low as possible and the jet must require minimal maintenance so the cost of ownership is reduced and most importantly the jet must produce the same regular interlace from start up to the end of its working life.

Main products and applications

Draw Texturing: A number of products are available here starting with the FG5 range of jets and the NEW FGT slide range. These jets are available with a full range of standard jet cores covering ALL yarns and is simple and fast to operate for cleaning or changing the jet cores! The long term durability is excellent and maintenance is very low. This jet is also used for Air Covering applications with different jet cores and yarn guide brackets.

For continuous interlace or compacted yarn without visible nodes the FG8 jet is available, especially suitable for micro denier yarns where pinhole problems associated with visible interlace exist in the fabric.

For detorque or anti snarling we have the FG9 jet designed to twist the yarn back up the second heater to eliminate the false twist created by the friction unit.

A Full range of 6mm & 9mm PU friction discs, custom sizes is also available

Extrusion Process: The FG10 range of jets uses the latest technology to produce jets with upto 20 + ends in one jet core and a pitch as low as 4mm, besides this there are a range of standard products in single jet format, 10 and 12mm pitch and almost any requirement can be fulfilled using our custom design service. This means jets can be made to directly replace an existing jet or it can be designed to fit into a particularly difficult position. All the jets incorporate our patented technology and offer very high stability even at the highest process speeds and long term durability.

For economical interlace the FG6 jet provides quality affordable interlace for normal yarns as well as for Draw Twisting and Draw Winding Applications.

FG8 jets are available for delicate yarns such as micro deniers covering both, Oil Migration and main interlace.

Other applications/products available from Fibreguide include Acetate process, Hybrid applications, Elastomer, Draw Warping, BCF and technical yarns.
