Parex Mather and Sir James Farmer Norton finishing machinery

Parex Mather Ltd. and Sir James Farmer Norton (UK) Ltd. are part of the Fletcher Engineering Group, based at the Group's Carlton Works in Manchester, and together are the sole British manufacturer of textile finishing machinery. As part of this specialist UK engineering group, they offer the resources and capabilities to design, manufacture, install and commission textile finishing machinery from small units to complete lines. Design and manufacturing is carried out in-house to ensure full quality control.

The company's portfolio of preparation, bleaching, dyeing and wet processing equipment includes:

Singeing: The latest technology in fabric singeing machines suitable for a wide range of fabrics and available with full computer programmable process control technology. The MK 10 singeing machine is for woven fabrics up to 3.6 metres The Universal singeing machine is for flat knit fabrics, this unit can also process most types of woven fabrics. A Tubular singeing machine is also available for circular knit fabrics.

Special felt and nonwoven fabric singeing machines are also offered all suported with an extensive range of entries, deliveries, brushing, beating, flock collecting, batching and impregnating units.

Carpet and felt burners: units are available from 2 to 14 metres wide, usual applications are carpet backing plants and paper-makers' felt stretching machines.
Continuous and pad batch bleaching and dyeing ranges: The company has a full range of wet process units, atmospheric steamers, saturators and dyeing machinery for fabric widths up to 3.8 metres.
Compressive Shrinking Machines: Parex-Mather and Farmer Norton offer a range of shrinking machines for various fabric types and weights. These include standard 'Sanfor' type machines and the proven Mather Evaset, Hypaset and Supatex machines.
Calenders: The range of calenders available covers models from 2-bowl, 3-bowl and upto 5-bowl with several bowl heating options, typically hot oil, gas, steam and electric saturated vapour.
Mercerisers: Chain and chainless type mercerisers are available, along with a wide range of spares and accessories.
Special Processes: Parex Mather and Farmer Norton also offer a design and manufacture service covering bespoke processing machinery for an extensive range of applications such as bonding, laminating and impregnation.
