SDC Enterprises

Consumables for colour fastness testing

SDC Enterprises is the manufacturer of premium quality colour fastness testing consumables for use in BS, EN and ISO test procedures. Specified by many major retailers, SDC products have become the industrystandard, worldwide, for those organisations wishing to invest in the quality of their product.

SDC test materials enable companies to safeguard against the risk of costly claims and litigation before manufacturing takes place and brand value has been added. Crucially, by strict tolerance levels and farreaching quality control procedures, they help ensure that the end product is manufactured to a consistent and measurable standard where rogue results or drift over time is prevented - vital in reducing the potential for consequential loss because of misleading test grades.

Whether working with international test houses, providing direct information by e-mail bulletin or delivering technical advice through local distributors, Enterprises aims to bring international standards for colour fastness testing within reach of all within the colouration Industry.

Product continuity

The use of standard master batches for comparative testing of each batch and conformity testing conducted by independent testing authorities (United Kingdom Accreditation Service accredited laboratories) ensures the closest possible continuity of products over time. This provides end-users with the confidence that rogue results, or result drift over time, cannot occur due to test materials when using SDCE products.

Larger premises

Increased demand for its colour fastness testing products for the global textile supply chain has prompted SDC Enterprises, to move to larger, purpose-designed premises in Bradford, West Yorkshire. This increase in demand follows the successful introduction of a special security thread designed to protect the SDC brand and its best-selling Multifibre product against 'passing off' of inferior copies falsely claimed to be 'identical to SDC'.

SDC Enterprises is a wholly-owned subsidiary of The Society of Dyers and Colourists which, since 1884, has been a major catalyst for, and contributor to, the ongoing process of research and development of technical standards for the global coloration industry.
