Today the company has many hundreds of RF systems installed all around the world - drying everything from bump tops to the very latest in technical packages.
Today's yarns are being wound more densely and are becoming more thermally-sensitive. This makes it necessary for Strayfield to ensure that its equipment can operate at maximum efficiency and still dry these yarns at low temperatures (80°C in respect of cotton). All systems are specially tuned to achieve this.
As winding technology advances and fibres have become more thermally sensitive, Strayfield's technology has advanced in order to process them. The 'second generation' Strayfield systems incorporate RF with 'intelligent vacuum' to ensure very low drying temperatures - approximately 65°C and with smaller generators.
Strayfield now offers dryers up to 125kW in capacity, which are capable of processing up to 8 tonnes of cotton in an hour, depending on input/output moisture levels
All Strayfield equipment is now extremely competitive in price - even when compared to lower-specified equipment coming from China - and without detriment to the company's usual high standards. Every system is guaranteed to meet the prevailing regulations in respect of radio frequency interference in different parts of the world and health and safety at work.
