Griffith Textile Machines

SPECIALIST WEAVING MACHINERY DESIGN, BUILD AND INSTALLATION

Building on over 25 years’ advanced loom technology, know-how and experience, Griffith Textile Machines offers the development and supply of special-purpose weaving and associated ancillary machines. They have a proven track record across a spectrum of weaving technologies and materials. These machines are designed, developed and built specifically to customer requirements.

SPECIAL PURPOSE MACHINES

Griffith has developed and expanded initial customer concepts into working machines in many different specialised areas of the textile industry. Through digital prototyping to machine building, Griffith supplies turnkey operations delivered to site. We are the UK weaving industry's engineers.

RAPIER LOOMS

Another specialised area is the production of pedal-operated rapier looms, which have been widely adopted by the Harris Tweed industry, textile colleges and technical textile producers. These are characterised by reeds of up to two metres, eights shafts, pattern chain shedding and a six-colour weft selector.

MACHINE LIFECYCLE SUPPORT

Griffith is able to supply machine upgrades, overhauls and spare parts including reverse engineering or full redesign to extend the life of your existing equipment. We have many hundreds of examples of reverse engineering components and systems to build longevity in machines, usually improving performance and reliability at the same time.
