STATIC CONTROL

When a material or object holds a net electrical charge, either positive or negative, it is said to have a static charge. There are three main causes of static electricity: friction, separation and induction. Within the textiles industry many processes result in both friction and separation.

The Meech range of Static control equipment is designed to neutralise the high static charges which will improve both the end quality and offer a more efficient production process.

Some common applications include:

915 Ionising bars can prevent fibres clinging to combs on textile carding machines
A Hyperion 971IPS Bar can prevent product clinging to machine frames, dust attraction; or operator shocks on stenter flaker machines.
Static control can prevent sheet folders from dropping sheets due to static attraction.
Static control can improve productivity and quality and reduce waste on a warping yarn rewinder.

WEB CLEANING

Web cleaning cleans the surface of the web from particle contamination. To do this, Meech uses a 3-stage process to ensure effective web cleaning:

Eliminate the static charges
Break the boundary layer of air on the web surface to disturb and remove the surface contamination
Successfully isolate and trap all the disturbed contamination

Meech manufacture six different contact and non-contact web cleaners so can offer the right solution for your application.

Some common applications include:

A Meech VacClean can be fitted to a Sanforizing and inspection machine to remove contamination that was previously being recorded as a fault within the material.
A Meech VacClean can be fitted to a dyeing line to reduce high contamination levels.
A Meech VacClean can also be used on a packing line to eliminate contamination and reducing clean down time whilst also removing the risk of duct build up.
