The New Machinery Regulations legislation represents a significant change for our sector
The new Machinery Regulations become mandatory from January 2027. They bring with them the most significant changes to machinery legislation in many years. To ensure all BTMA members have the opportunity to understand these changes and begin preparing, our recent webinar, UKCA & CE Marking and the New Machinery Regulations, is now available to watch on demand.
We would strongly encourage each member company, particularly those involved in the design, manufacture, modification, import, or export of machinery to take the time to watch this webinar.
Christopher Pickup is the founder of The CE Marking Authority one of the UK’s leading independent UKCA and CE Marking certification bodies. In the webinar, he discusses the process for UKCA and CE Marking, and the changes coming into effect regarding the New Machinery Regulations that become mandatory in January 2027.
During the session, Christopher provides a practical overview of:
The UKCA and CE Marking processes.
The key legislative changes introduced by the new Machinery Regulations.
What these changes mean for machinery manufacturers, exporters, and suppliers.
The practical steps businesses should be taking now, to ensure compliance ahead of the
January 2027 implementation.
If you have colleagues responsible for engineering, compliance, technical documentation, product development or export activities, we would encourage you to share the recording with them.
Should the webinar generate any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the BTMA office and we will endeavour to assist or put you in touch with Christopher where appropriate.
